What I do
I have worked with language and with text my entire career and continue to do so with joy. I work internationally in Europe and the Arab world. As a playwright I write one-person shows that have toured the world as well as large scale plays adapted from novels and non-fiction. As a translator I have translated plays from German for theatres including the NT, The Gate and the Arcola as well as film and TV scripts. As a dramaturg I have worked with theatres from the Barbican to the Roundhouse. I believe that theatre can can tell stories that are hidden to the outside world in a way no other medium can.

I am of the opinion that theatre is a collective art form, not just one person's vision.
